SSJC Unofficial Competition Day 28/6/20
Modified format (incorporating covid-19 restrictions)
A | 9.00am to 10.30am | Ring 1 max 55cm Ring 2 max 65cm |
B | 11.30am to 1.00pm | Ring 1 max 75cm Ring 2 max 85cm |
C | 2.00pm to 3.30pm | Ring 1 max 95cm Ring 2 max 104cm |
All entries via Nominate. No entries accepted on the day. Maximum 40 riders per time-slot.
All riders must be SSJC or EA members.
You will enter a “time-slot” – one horse per entry - and can ride either 2 rounds in the same ring (first round to count towards placings, second a schooling round as we are not running Freshman’s), or 1 round in both rings per entry. All rings will be run under Article 245.3 rules (old AM7: jump-off immediately after a clear round).
Fee is $15 per entry (2 rounds) for SSJC members*, $20 per entry for non-SSJC members (must be an EA member).
Max. 2 horses per rider (in same time slot). To comply with maximum number of attendees allowed at any one time, and to enable as many people as possible to take part, we ask that you only enter one time slot at this competition. If you would like to ride in a second time-slot, please enquire after close of entries and we may be able to accommodate if the time-slot is not full.
Both rings will be open for course walk approx. 20 mins before commencement time.
You can arrive up to 1 hour before your nominated time-slot, and must leave the grounds as soon as your time-slot is complete and placegetters have been announced.
Entries close midnight Wednesday 24th June. The draw will be emailed to you on the Friday before the competition. You will be checked in at the gate and if you are not on the draw you will not be allowed to enter the grounds.
Maximum of one other person may accompany each rider to the venue.
Canteen facilities will not be provided; please bring your own food and drinks if required.
Stables not available on the day; these will be reserved for use by the committee only.
You will be required to practice social distancing and use hand sanitize where provided.
Apologies for the strict rules, but if we want to get back to competitions we have to work within the current restrictions…….better to put up with some inconvenience than have no comps at all!
Any instance of non-compliance with these rules will result in the offender being asked to leave the grounds. We risk a fine up to $5000 if our event does not strictly follow guidelines.
*Please note that as no competitions were able to be held from March through May, your SSJC memberships will be extended by three months (ie valid for 15 months from date of joining).
